Unica Announces Finalists for 2008 Marketing Success Award

Fortis and ING honored for their innovative use of enterprise marketing management technology

WALTHAM, Mass. – March 25, 2008 – Unica Corporation (Nasdaq:UNCA), a global provider of enterprise marketing management (EMM) solutions, today announced the finalists for its sixth annual Marketing Success Awards, which will be presented at the company’s upcoming annual customer conference, the Marketing Innovation Summit, taking place April 27-30 at the Sheraton New Orleans. This year’s finalists include one US and two European-based customers: Bank of America, Fortis and ING, three of the world’s industry leaders. The Marketing Success Awards honor Unica customers that have implemented EMM technology to achieve strong business results and improve marketing performance.

Prior award winners include Scotiabank, BMO Bank of Montreal, OCBC and Wachovia. Finalists will present their success scenarios at the conference’s general session; attendees will select the winner onsite. This year’s submitters represented not only the largest number of applicants, but also the largest number of international companies submitting in the history of the Marketing Innovation Summit. The trend illustrates the expanded interest and sophisticated use of marketing automation software by international organizations.

“Each year we bring together hundreds of our customers—the world’s most innovative marketers—to discuss, present and learn about best practices in marketing automation,” said Yuchun Lee, chief executive officer of Unica Corporation. “This year marks a milestone for the Marketing Success Awards program because of the large number of global submissions. We believe this reflects our increasing success in international markets as more and more global companies see the value of enterprise marketing management technology to increase the ROI of their marketing efforts.”

The theme for this year’s Marketing Innovation Summit is “Get Jazzed,” which not only builds on the host city’s atmosphere and famed Jazz Fest, but also reflects the need for organizations to get jazzed about innovative next steps to take in their marketing efforts. More than 700 attendees from both marketing and IT are expected at this year’s conference, which includes keynotes from industry luminaries like Joe Healey, author of Radical Trust: How Today’s Great Leaders Convert People to Partners. The conference will also feature best practice sessions on relationship marketing, internet marketing and marketing operations from the world’s top marketers.
